Absolutely not, your pre-purchase will cost exactly the same as the final, publicly released version of Shred and you are not obliged in any way to register for the Test Center or share your views, it’s your choice, you can use this as a chance to check in on the development of our biggest and most versatile suite ever, or you can use it as a simple pre-order, safe in the knowledge that when the time comes, you’ll receive your copy of Shred 2.0 all wrapped up (digitally, of course, probably in a ZIP file, which isn’t nearly as elegant or festive as we’d like) and ready to open.

We can’t promise that we’ll be able to include every suggestion that comes our way, but if you’ve ever had an insight into the way we work here at AcmeBarGig, you know that user input is an absolutely essential ingredient in delivering the best possible products to you guys, so having the ability to receive this input while we develop is a golden opportunity. Everyone loves Wilbur’s special switch idea and the ABG team rush to implement it. Over the next few weeks, Wilbur gets to watch his Wilburnator switch evolve above and beyond his wildest dreams. Brimming with excitement with every new release of Shred, Wilbur continues to provide input on Shred’s general features, it’s ease of use, it’s versatility, while slowly a big ball of anticipative glee builds somewhere inside him.

Some time later, after many revisions, discussions, suggestions, trials and tribulations, Shred 2.0 is released.
