This is my first attempt at a VST. Its a distortion fx made in synthedit and it for the most part sounds like crap (looks it too) but theres plenty of sliders/knobs to fool around with.

And this has (little) to do with music, but here's my first game project. The version with audio works fine on my new computer, but not the ancient. I wanted to see if some people could try it out and see if they get the same error message. ("This is not a valid Windows 32 bit program") Its a Kitten Cannon type game with Plankton drawn by my nephew.

This version has no sound and should work on just about anything (windows only, it needs direct x 9 but theres a .dll included that should clear that up.)

Any chance you can put up a couple of screen shots of the VST? You might even find someone here to help you with it :)

A kitten cannon game! Is that along the same lines as the yeti penguin games?
I think screenshots of your game might also entice people more to try it out.

The VST uses the default synthedit graphics except for a small logo, I've made a stompbox design for it but haven't spent much time looking into how to change the buttons.

I believe so, you press a button at the right time to send a character as far across the screen as you can..it hits things to go further or get slowed down. Most of the graphics are ripped so I'm not real proud of it but it was made for my nephew.

This is another game I've been working on recently, prototyped in 7 days for a competition.

You type to create a platform so Pawk doesn't run right off into the abyss. Press Enter to jump over obstacles.

Theres only two mini-levels and the music is midi versions of some of my regular stuff. The character image has improved from that in the picture (far right, above the red block.)

What are you using for Clip? NILB?

Try this...

Take your input and multiply by 0.5
Take the full strength input and spilt it into a 723.4 hz HP and 720.7 hz LP..Send them to the clips(Hard Clipping) Each gets its own clipping...
after that, mix your .5 unclipped signal and your 2 separate Lp and HP Signals into a soft clipper and send it out...
Thats the basis for the Pickasso Overdrive pedal in Shred 1.5x..

Ugh, thought I responded already. Muscle relaxer and posting don't mix. Just say no.

I used the clipper already in SynthEdit and wasn't real sure what I was doing anyway.

That is kind of what I based it on, but it didn't mention anything about a clipper, which I was sure I needed so I still added it.

I don't think I can make the frequency adjustments in synthedit since I don't have a registered copy, but I'm trying to find a python library that will handle DSP to incorporate into a game I'm working on. (A heavy metal based RPG, I want the magic system to be based on audio and be able to alter it in real time.)

Another program I just finished, this one actually has something to do with music though. Atleast, moving large numbers of files. You can load an iTunes playlist, .m3u playlist or a text file and copy or move all the files in it to another location. No screenshot yet but its a simple windows UI, I might skin it later.
